has more than 20 years experience in all phases of food preparation, cooking, menu design, and event planning. He earned his Master’s Degree in the Culinary Arts from the world-renowned Heidelberg Hotel School in Germany.
The Master Chef certification exemplifies expert skills, culinary knowledge, the business of hospitality, ability to train apprentices and create culinary curriculum.
Hubert was born near the Black Forest spa town of Baden-Baden in Southwest Germany. While working his way up through the ranks, he served as a cook-apprentice in fine dining restaurants and hotels in Switzerland, Germany and Northern Italy. Subsequently, Hubert’s talents have landed him in exotic destinations as Executive Chef at upscale hotels and international resorts in the Middle East, Asia, Mexico and the Caribbean. He moved his family to Southern California to establish his own successful catering company, the Culinary Wizard.
He has the versatility to prepare and present gourmet cuisine for small, intimate dinners or banquets for hundreds of people. During his career, Hubert has cooked for heads of state, top athletes, and celebrities. He believes all guests deserve the “royal treatment”.
He has contributed his culinary skills and production management to PGA and tennis tournaments, as well as at two Olympic games and an International equestrian event.
